PITTSBURGH, Feb. 9 -- Allegheny County issued the following press release:
The office of Allegheny County Controller Mark Patrick Flaherty has concluded its comprehensive audit of the Port Authority of Allegheny County.
In its initial review, auditors conducted a performance analysis which analyzed the efficiency and productivity of services being provided by benchmarking the Authority's performance to similar transit systems. A statistical comparison to eleven of the most comparable transit agencies found the Port Authority considerably underperforms in operations based on performance metrics.
