Article: ROWAN UNIVERSITY WINS FIRST NJAC CHAMPIONSHIP, 2-0 OVER RICHARD STOCKTON COLLEGE

POMONA, N.J., Nov. 8 -- Rowan University issued the following news release:

The Rowan University women's soccer team won the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship with a 2-0 victory over Richard Stockton College on Saturday afternoon.

It is Rowan's first conference title since the program was started in 1995. The Profs, 15-0-2, receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. Pairings will be announced on Monday, November 10 at noon.

Both of the Profs' goals came in the second half. Forward Mandy Silvesti (jr. Turnersville, NJ/Washington Twp.) scored the first one at 67:47 with an assist from forward Michelle Carrocino (so. Mickleton, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) ...
