Article: Rep. Miller Introduces Worker Protection Against Combustible Dust Explosions and Fires Act

WASHINGTON, Feb. 17 -- Rep. George Miller, D-California, has introduced the Worker Protection Against Combustible Dust Explosions and Fires Act of 2009 (H.R. 849), legislation that would "require the Secretary of Labor to issue interim and final occupational safety and health standards regarding worker exposure to combustible dust."

The bill, introduced on Feb. 4, was co-sponsored by Reps. John Barrow, D-Georgia, and Lynn Woolsey, D-California. It was referred to the House Education and Labor Committee.
