AUGUSTA, Maine, Feb. 5 -- The Maine Arts Commission issued the following news release:

The Maine Arts Commission is currently accepting applications for a contractor position with duties involving the production of the agency's 2009 Public Art Event Series.

This contract will pay $20/hour and will not exceed $4500.

In an ongoing effort to support publicly accessible art in Maine, the Maine Arts Commission funded five lecturers on the theme: "Public Art: What's the Use?" to be held in 2009.
