GOLETA, Calif., Feb. 13 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's U.S. Forest Service unit - Los Padres National Forest - issued the following press release:

With winter storms expected to bring significant snow and rainfall this weekend, visitors to Los Padres National Forest are reminded to use extreme caution when driving and recreating in the National Forest and surrounding areas. Ice, mud, rock slides, washouts, flash flooding, slippery road surfaces (black ice), deep snow and very heavy rainfall are just a few of the possible hazards.
