Article: ADAMS STATE COLLEGE SPRING ENROLLMENT UP

ALAMOSA, Colo., Jan. 29 -- Adams State College issued the following press release:

Improved undergraduate retention and more graduate students at Adams State College contributed to an enrollment increase of nearly two percent in the 2009 spring semester, compared to last year, said Adams State Provost, Dr. Michael Mumper.

"We retained almost 6 percent more students from the fall to spring semester than we did last year. So even though our fall undergraduate enrollment was slightly down, our spring enrollment exceeds last year's. We believe this is due to the improved academic profile of our freshman class," Mumper explained.
