ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- Raymond F. Schmitt, Martin E. Pruitt and Michael L. O'Hallora, all from Hesston, Kan., and Cecil L. Case of Newton, Kan., have developed a crop harvester of the rotary cutter bed type. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. RE40,614 on Jan. 6. The patent has been assigned to AGCO Corp., Duluth, Ga. The original application was filed on Jan. 26, 2004. According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A crop harvester of the rotary cutter bed type has a series of rotary cutters extending across the path of travel of the machine and rotatable about individual upright axes.
