St. Ambrose University issued the following news release:

The country may be undergoing a historic economic downturn but there is one sector that's growing: healthcare, and the need for highly qualified health care professionals is greater than ever. In response to the community's need, St. Ambrose University is moving forward with construction of a health sciences education center, to be located on the southeast corner of Genesis Medical Center, West Central Park, Davenport.

St. Ambrose expects to break ground on the facility this spring, with an anticipated opening in August 2010. Thus far, the university has raised $7.5 million of the projected $11.5 million cost of the building from the ...
