Someone has to step up, be the scoring hero for slumping Moose
CHICAGO -- Jason Jaffray had a puzzled look on his face and after searching for an answer he finally shrugged his shoulders and decided a menu change was as good a slump buster as anything else.
"Maybe it's steak tonight instead of pasta and chicken," offered Jaffray, minutes after his Manitoba Moose had suffered their third loss in a row, falling 2-1 to the Chicago Wolves. "You can't fault our effort the last couple of nights. We just can't get a goal right now."
Wolves goalie Ondrej Pavelec kicked out 44 of 45 shots on Sunday afternoon to delight the 9,105 folks at Allstate Arena and collect first-star honours in the doing.
