WASHINGTON, Feb. 25 -- Rep. Edolphus Towns, D-N.Y., raised $1,545,288 toward his election campaign last year and spent $1,568,247, OpenSecrets.org reported. Towns has $29,762 cash on hand and no debts based on his latest Federal Election Commission report (Dec. 31).
The Center for Responsive Politics reported that Towns' top contributors were:
1.Pfizer Inc $15,600 2.Verizon Communications $13,000 3.National Grid plc $12,000 4.Forest City Enterprises $11,500 5.AmerisourceBergen Corp $11,000 6.UnitedHealth Group $11,000 7.Sidley Austin LLP $10,517 8.Americhoice Corp $10,200 9.American Assn for Justice $10,000 ...
