WASHINGTON, Feb. 25 -- Rep. Edolphus Towns, D-N.Y., raised $1,545,288 toward his election campaign last year and spent $1,568,247, OpenSecrets.org reported. Towns has $29,762 cash on hand and no debts based on his latest Federal Election Commission report (Dec. 31).

The Center for Responsive Politics reported that Towns' top contributors were:
