DES MOINES, Iowa, Feb. 4 -- The Iowa District Court Fifth Judicial District issued the following order:
REDUCTION OF JUDICIAL AND COURT REPORTER TRAVEL
ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER 2009-8
On February 2, 2009, the Iowa Supreme Court entered a Supervisory Order dealing with fiscal year 2009 budget cuts. Paragraph 2 of the Supervisory Order provides "Judicial branch employees and judicial officers shall reduce all travel to a minimum; judge and court reporter travel expenditures shall be reduced by 60% for the balance of fiscal year 2009 . . ." In order to attain these travel-reduction goals, extraordinary reductions in court services will be necessary in the Fifth Judicial District. By the authority ...
