LEWISTON, Maine, Jan. 5 -- The city of Lewiston issued the following news release:
The word at a press conference hosted by the Twin Cities Mayors this morning urged area residents to "Take the Money; You've Earned It." The press event was held in affiliation with the Lewiston-Auburn Tax Credit Awareness CA$H Coalition to inform low-to-moderate income workers that they may be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and that free tax preparation and e-filing of Federal and State returns is readily available.
The phone line to schedule a free tax preparation appointment will open January 12, 2009, and residents may schedule an appointment by calling 513-3160 as of that date. Federal ...
