New Delhi, March. 3 -- More and more educated people are getting into the Indian parliament. In the 543-seat 14th Lok Sabha, there were 157 postgraduates and 22 doctorate MPs, according to the latest figures issued here.

?The 14th Lok Sabha had 157 postgraduate members which was the highest figure in all the Lok Sabha,? said the Press Information Bureau (PIB) reference handbook, which was released Monday after the Election Commission announced the five-phase poll schedule to pick the 15th Lok Sabha.

Also, there were 249 graduates in the current Lok Sabha whose last session ended Feb 26.

Although, there were 22 doctorates this time, in the 11th Lok Sabha the figure was 29.
