Article: COWBOY COMEBACK FALLS SHORT AGAINST MIZZOU, 97-95

STILLWATER, Okla., Jan. 21 -- Oklahoma State University issued the following news release:

Oklahoma State made a valiant comeback effort, but fell two points short as the Cowboys fell to Missouri 97-95 here Wednesday night. OSU trailed by 20 with 12-1/2 minutes to go, but chipped away at the Tigers' lead and trailed by just one with 47 seconds remaining on a pair of free throws by Byron Eaton.

Missouri took it to the Cowboys early and hard, taking a 6-0 lead to start the game and up 17-8 at the 14:39 mark. Midway through the first period, the Tigers were up 16 and appeared to be running away. OSU looked confused at times, giving up uncontested layups and running around in circles.
