Colombo, Jan. 24 -- The mutual recognition of degrees and common educational standards will be the topics scheduled to be discussed at a meeting of Ministers of Education and Higher Education of SAARC countries in Colombo on March 26 and 27.
At a meeting held in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2008, Sri Lanka made the proposal to discuss the subject of Mutual Recognition of Degrees and Common Education Standards in the region, Higher Education Ministry spokesman U. E. Perera said.
The March meeting is consequent to that proposal with the prime intention of coordination and standardization of educational policies and strategies within the member countries of SAARC, in keeping with the emerging global ...
