Some consumer news media do not accurately report on the results of medical research, and significant differences in accuracy exist between media outlets. These are the surprising results of a new study conducted by professors at Auburn University and the University of North Carolina/Charlotte, which will be presented at the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Health Academy Conference, May 13-15 in Washington, D.C. The theme of the conference is "Leveraging Social Media in Health Care Public Relations."
