Article: NEW DISTRICT RANGER NAMED FOR METHOW VALLEY RANGER DISTRICT

WENATCHEE, Wash., March 23 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's U.S. Forest Service unit - Wenatchee National Forest - issued the following press release:

Mike Liu has been named the new District Ranger of the Methow Valley Ranger District, announced Becki Heath, Forest Supervisor of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest.

Liu, 47, will fill the district leadership position formerly held by John Newcom who retired in 2008.

"Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position," Heath said. "We are very glad to welcome him to the Forest."
