Article: Sen. Leahy Introduces Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Reauthorization Act

WASHINGTON, March 30 -- Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vermont, has introduced the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Reauthorization Act of 2009 (S. 678), legislation that would "reauthorize and improve the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974."

The bill, introduced on March 24, was co-sponsored by Sens. Arlen Specter, R-Pennsylvania; Herb Kohl, D-Wisconsin; and Dick Durbin, D-Illinois. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
