Colombo, April 4 -- It is a usual busy weekday morning in Colombo: parents hurrying their children to school, conductors hustling commuters onto overcrowded busses, executives in their large cars and Ray Ban sunglasses tooting their horns at cyclists cutting through the traffic, vendors setting up shop and sprinkling yellow turmeric water on their doorsteps as pedestrians try to avoid being splattered by it, and policeman on foot or on horse back directing traffic.
