ANNAPOLIS, Md., March 16 -- The Maryland Department of Agriculture issued the following news release:

The Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) in cooperation with the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension will sponsor a two-day training and certification program on April 10, 2009 and May 19, 2009 for greenhouse and nursery technicians interested in becoming certified by MDA to write or update nutrient management plans for their operations. On the first day of the workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of nutrient management planning for greenhouse and nursery operations.
