FERKDALE - The time has come for the single LGBT people of the Detroit area to start hooking up at the Aff! At least that's the plan with Affirmation's new Community Connections Board, which allows people to post ads seeking friendship or companionship for free the entire month of April.
After April, the service is only $10 for two months of posting access, with the fee going to help out the struggling LGBT community center. Mary Hobart, a longtime member of Affirmations, came up with the program as a way to help people who may be lonely or simply want to expand their social circle.
