JUST WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE?
A tiny little idealistic group, they are the butt of jokes, a nuisance in the street. Their endurance is in large part due to three characteristics they seem to have mastered over 25 years of evolution: the Jews for Jesus are headstrong, paranoid, and unique. Right now, to the chagrin of most Jews, they're planning next week's celebration of the Jewish New Year with shofars and Jesus in mind.
Their faith is firm. Because the early Christians and even Jesus himself considered themselves Jews, many Jews for Jesus see themselves in the same light: Jewish rebels and seekers of new religiosity, still in the name of Judaism. They know they are disliked for this, ...
