Colombo, June 16 -- "Fathers' Day" is round the corner. Much is made of Mothers and usually one associates children with a Mother. But what about the Father?

Surely a father does more than just provide the sperm to fertilise the ovum in the womb of the mother. But from the moment of conception, all the interest is centred around the Mother-to-be and fathers are expected to take a back seat!

This wrong idea of Parenting has resulted in lopsided families where the father simply goes out to earn money and provide goodies for the family.
