LOS ANGELES, Calif., June 19 -- The California Department of Fish and Game issued the following press release:

The California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District have extended the public review period for the Newhall Ranch Resource Management and Development Plan (RMDP) and the Spineflower Conservation Plan (SCP) Draft Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report (EIS/EIR). The agencies agreed to extend the review period after hearing from citizens via written comments/requests and at a public hearing in Valencia on June 11.
