Article: Caritas ends Tsunami relief work with Rs. 11 billion spent

Colombo, June 23 -- At the announcing of the closing of Tsunami relief work Caritas Sri Lanka, a part of Caritas International indicated that they were gradually getting into relief work of the displaced persons in the North and East and they have already moved ahead and in some sections they have got the inmates themselves cook their meals.

Caritas Sri Lanka held a press conference to make the announcement of closing the Tsunami Relief work and indicated that at the final count of their activities towards Tsunami victim recovery and rehabilitation it has spent a total of nearly Rs 11 billion in the Tsunami relief work in Sri Lanka from 2005 to June 2009.
