ALBANY, N.Y., March 13 -- New York State Sen. Carl Kruger, D-Brooklyn (27th District), issued the following news release:
The Humane Society of the United States today praised Senator Carl Kruger (D-Brooklyn) and Assemblywoman Deborah Glick (D-66) for introducing Senate Bill 3223 (and Assembly Bill 6788 - bills to end the unethical shooting of exotic animals held captive in fenced enclosures, otherwise known as "canned shoots."
"Canned shooting represents nothing less than cruel and unusual punishment and is appalling not just to animal activists but to many who take part in traditional forms of hunting," said Senator Kruger, Chair of the Finance Committee. "This legislation is sending an ...
