Article: RIO GRANDE TO OBSERVE INDEPENDENCE DAY ON JULY 6

RIO GRANDE, Ohio, June 30 -- Rio Grande Community College issued the following news release:

The University of Rio Grande will be closed on Monday, July 6 as part of the Independence Day weekend celebration.

The second session of summer classes will then start on Tuesday, July 7. The Rio Grande Meigs Center will also be closed on Monday, July 6.

Rio Grande holds two summer semester sessions each year for students, and the summer classes are very popular. A large number of Rio Grande students take summer classes each year, and students from other colleges and universities who are home for the summer in the region are also able to take summer classes at Rio Grande.
