Article: MANAGEMENT AND EFFICIENCY STUDY COMMITTEE BEGINS WORK IN BROWARD COUNTY

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 1 -- Broward County has issued the following news release:

The Broward County Management and Efficiency Study Committee (MESC) held its first meeting and chose Roy Gold as chair and Julie Carson as vice chair of the 17-member panel that will spend the next two years conducting a comprehensive study of County government. This review will include an analysis and study of the most effective and cost-efficient means to provide services to Broward County residents.

The Broward County Commission chose Mayor Stacy Ritter to serve on the Committee. Mayor Ritter served as chair of the 2004-2006 MESC. Each Commissioner also appointed one member from their district. The ...
