POMONA, Calif., May 12 -- California State Polytechnical University at Pomona issued the following press release:

Cal Poly Pomona senior Tiffany Turner and junior Jonathan Williams headline a group of eight Bronco student-athletes who have earned their place at the 2009 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The event will take place May 21-23 at Angelo State University, located in San Angelo, Texas.

Turner, a LaCrescenta native, is the school-record holder in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and earned a qualifying and CPP record time of 10 minutes and 52.91 seconds. Her time is the 16th fastest in the country.

Joining Turner on the women's team is junior 400-meter ...
