TURLOCK, Calif., June 11 -- California State University Stanislaus issued the following press release:
Two more Cal State Stanislaus baseball players were drafted today in the third and final day of the Major League Baseball First-Year Players Draft, bring the total to a school record three student-athletes selected in the same draft.
Outfielder Kyle Loretelli was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 38th round (1134th pick overall) and the Colorado Rockies drafted pitcher Eric Federico in the 39th round (1171st pick overall).
On Wednesday, pitcher Dakota Watts went in the 16th round to Minnesota.
