ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 4 -- Kenji Yamamoto and Masayuki Taniguchi, both of Hitachinaka, Japan, Kouji Kuramashi and Kenji Kiyama, both of Kure, Japan, Takanori Yano of Kumano, Japan, and Hirofumi Okazaki of Hiroshima, Japan, have developed a method for injecting solid fuel. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,553,153 on June 30.
The patent has been assigned to Babcock - Hitachi K.K., Tokyo.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A solid-fuel burner comprising a fuel nozzle for injecting a mixed fluid with a mixture of solid fuel and air as a carrier gas thereof, ...
