ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 6 -- Roland Busse, Cloppenburg, Germany, has developed a device for feeding poultry. The inventor was issued U.S. Patent No. 7,552,697 on June 30.
The patent has been assigned to Big Dutchman International GmbH, Vechta, Germany.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A device for the feeding of poultry including a bowl device comprising a feed bowl, a cupola suspending the feed bowl, and a downpipe. The feed bowl is located beneath the downpipe and the cupola is formed from grid bars. The downpipe comprises an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder encompassing the inner cylinder.
