MONTGOMERY, Ala., April 20 -- The U.S. Department of Justice's Federal Bureau of Investigation's Mobile Field Office issued the following press release:

Douglas Eugene "Gene" Martin, age 54, of Jemison, Alabama, was sentenced in United States District Court in Montgomery to 9.5 years (114 months) in federal prison as a result of his conviction for murder-for-hire, U.S. Attorney Leura G. Canary announced today. Martin was also sentenced to serve three years of supervised release under the supervision of a federal probation officer after his release from prison.
