ELMHURST, Ill., June 4 -- South Dakota State University issued the following news release:
For the second year in a row, South Dakota State won the Dr. Helen Smiley Women's All Sports Award for accumulating the most points based on the final regular season standings in the Summit League.
The Jackrabbits won regular season league titles in basketball and women's cross-country while finishing in a three-way tie for the league's soccer title. SDSU also had a runner-up finish in indoor track and field, on the way to winning the overall title with 60 points. North Dakota State finished second with 56 points and Oakland (Mich.) was third with 53 points.
On the men's side, SDSU improved two spots ...
