Colombo, July 9 -- Imperial Institute of Higher Education (IIHE) in collaboration with Edexcel - UK launched the ONLY programme of its kind for students who have completed O-levels. This 'foundation' course (BTEC National Diploma) is designed, so that a student completing this can enter almost any University in the UK or Commonwealth.

Completing none of the other 'foundation' courses offered by many Sri Lankan institutes could a student enter a University, without having to complete an entry examination offered by that specific University. This not only adds costs to a parent, but also makes it more complicated.
