Article: H1N1 CASE CONFIRMED AT EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif., July 8 -- The U.S. Air Force Edwards Air Force Base issued the following press release:

Officials from the 95th Medical Group confirmed one case of 2009 H1N1 influenza virus in the Edwards Air Force Base community July 2.

The patient did not require hospitalization and is free of symptoms.

"The single case is not expected to have an impact on operations at Edwards," said Capt. Mark Olson, 95th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, Public Health Flight commander.
