Article: ROCKLAND COUNTY ANNOUNCES TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF KAKIAT PARK IN MONTEBELLO FOR NEEDED IMPROVEMENTS

NEW CITY, N.Y., July 9 -- The Rockland County Executive issued the following press release:

The Rockland County Division of Environmental Resources announces that Kakiat Park in Montebello is about to undergo a number of significant improvements - including the replacement of wooden footbridges - and will be closed to the public temporarily.

Beginning next week, construction will take place at the park lasting until approximately mid- September 2009, weather permitting.
