NEW CITY, N.Y., July 9 -- The Rockland County Executive issued the following press release:
The Rockland County Division of Environmental Resources announces that Kakiat Park in Montebello is about to undergo a number of significant improvements - including the replacement of wooden footbridges - and will be closed to the public temporarily.
Beginning next week, construction will take place at the park lasting until approximately mid- September 2009, weather permitting. The main purpose of the capital project is the replacement of the two existing wooden footbridges that span the Mahwah River with a single pre-fabricated wooden footbridge that will allow handicapped accessibility to the ...
