ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 10 -- Peter A. Zagar of Hartford, Wis., Frederick C. Ellner of Glendale, Wis., and Hans C. Hansen of West Bend, Wis., have developed a solid-state, color-balanced backlight with wide illumination range. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,557,518 on July 7.
