WASHINGTON, July 9 -- The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development issued the following press release:
The World Bank Board of Executive Directors approved today a US$211.7 million loan to the Rio de Janeiro Mass Transit 2 Project to improve the level of service provided by the suburban rail transportation system in the metropolitan region of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
