Article: BERGEN COUNTY FREEHOLDERS, COUNTY EXECUTIVE ANNOUNCE SUMMER READING INITIATIVE/CONTEST

HACKENSACK, N.J., July 8 -- The Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders issued the following press release:

Bergen County Freeholder Vernon C. Walton is pleased to announce that Bergen County Executive Dennis McNerney and the Board of Chosen Freeholders are hosting a creative summer reading contest for Bergen County students in grades 4-6th. There will be a grand prize winner and two runner-ups per grade.

Participants will create an original work of art that was inspired by a book they have read from their school's summer reading list using any artistic medium of their choice. Student masterpieces can include but are not limited to paintings, photographs, films, dance or songs/music.
