ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 13 -- Monica Bequet Romero, Boris Ernesto Acevedo Castro, Jorge Victor Gavilondo Cowley, Luis Enrique Fernandez Molina, Omar Lopez Ocejo, Ricardo de la Caridad Silva Rodriguez, Ernesto Galban Rodriguez and Dania Marcia Vazquez Blomquist, all from Ciudad de La Habana, Cuba, and Alexis Musachio Lasa of Mariel, Cuba, have developed an active antiangiogenic therapy. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,556,809 on July 7.
