ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- Shaul Yifrach and Ilya Gransovky, both of Haifa, Israel, Etai Adar of Yokneam Ilit, Israel, and Giora Biran of Zichron-Yaakov, Israel, have developed a method for optimizing buffer usage of virtual channels. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,562,168 on July 14.

The patent has been assigned to International Business Machines Corp., Armonk, N.Y.
