ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 17 -- Hank Hsieh of Berkeley, Calif., Gordon T. Danby of Wading River, N.Y., Raymond V. Damadian of Woodbury, N.Y., John W. Jackson of Shoreham, N.Y., Hugh J. Wahl of Stonybrook, N.Y., and Cristian Balica of Middle Village, N.Y., have developed a ferromagnetic frame magnet with superconducting coil. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,560,929 on July 14.

The patent has been assigned to Fonar Corp., Melville, N.Y.
