EAGAN, Minn., July 9 -- The city of Eagan issued the following news release:
On May 19 the Minnesota Court of Appeals reversed an earlier District Court ruling in Eagan's favor regarding efforts to acquire the final three properties in the Cedar Grove Redevelopment Area. The Eagan Economic Development Authority (EDA) had until June 18 to decide whether to ask the Minnesota Supreme Court to take up its appeal. On June 16 the EDA voted unanimously to direct the City Attorney to petition the Supreme Court to review the case.
Eagan Mayor Mike Maguire, as president of the EDA, issued a statement following the vote. As the matter is under litigation, no further comment is anticipated at this time.
