Article: REPS. HOLLEN, PINGREE, SARBANES URGE PRESIDENT OBAMA TO SUPPORT STATE PRESCRIPTION DRUG AFFORDABILITY PROGRAMS

WASHINGTON, July 13 -- Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md. (8th CD), issued the following news release:

Today, Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D-ME), and Congressman Paul Sarbanes (D-MD) released the letter below to President Obama, urging the President to support state prescription drug affordability programs. Van Hollen, Pingree and Sarbanes have also introduced the Voluntary State Discount Prescription Drug Plan Act of 2009, which would enable individual states to implement these plans independently.
