Article: REP. ROSS SECURES $40,516,000 IN HOUSE FOR MCCLELLAN-KERR ARKANSAS RIVER NAVIGATION SYSTEM

WASHINGTON, July 21 -- Rep. Mike Ross, D-Ark. (4th CD), issued the following news release:

U.S. Representative Mike Ross (AR-04) has successfully secured $40,516,000 for the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System in the Fiscal Year 2010 House Energy & Water Appropriations Bill. The bill passed the full U.S. House of Representatives July 16.

Four hundred and forty-five miles long with 18 locks and dams, the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System is a reliable, year-round waterway into the Southwest.
