Article: Haridwar industrial estate to get water treatment plant soon

India, July 25 -- The state government owned industrial estate of Haridwar is likely to have an advanced wastewater treatment plant soon. The India Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, has reportedly carried out a study of the proposed project's design and other feasible aspects recently.

The purpose to install the plant is to 'reuse' every drop of (waste) water being discharged by the industries based at the industrial estate through their Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CEPT) for several purposes and not just as potable water alone.
