ANNAPOLIS, Md., July 23 -- The Maryland Department of Agriculture issued the following news release:

More than 200 conservation leaders from 12 states and the District of Columbia will gather on July 26-29, 2009 at the Holiday Inn, Solomons, Maryland for the National Association of Conservation Districts' (NACD) 2009 Northeast Regional Meeting. The conference will focus on Conservation Opportunities in a Changing World while showcasing Maryland's progressive approach to protecting natural resources and the Chesapeake Bay. It is being held in conjunction with the Maryland Association of Soil Conservation Districts' (MASCD) annual meeting.
