WASHINGTON, July 29 -- Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, has introduced the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital Quality Report Card Act of 2009 (S. 1427), legislation that would "amend title 38, United States Code, to establish a Hospital Quality Report Card Initiative to report on health care quality in Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers."

The bill, introduced on July 9, was co-sponsored by Reps. Mike Johanns, R-Nebraska. It was referred to the Veterans' Affairs Committee.
