SANTA FE, N.M., July 16 -- The New Mexico Department of the Environment issued the following news release:
The New Mexico Environment Department awarded $20,000 to the Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Council to help support recycling programs for the state's 22 tribes.
The award, which is part of the department's 2009 Recycling and Illegal Dumping grants, will reimburse the council for expenditures incurred for the purchase of recycling trailers, anti-theft equipment and educational materials for Office of Environment and Technical Assistance's rotating recycling program.
